Experience Faith and Fellowship at WRRC’s First Revival

On July 22. 2017, Walnut Ridge Retreat Center was ready to be shown to the public! In the late afternoon, the retreat center had an open house for the community to come in and experience the camp firsthand. But beyond just showing the incredible beauty and character of Walnut Ridge, we wanted to do something much bigger. Something life changing. So immediately following the open house, Walnut Ridge hosted a revival.

The revival’s guest speaker was Stan Lovins II, an International Revival Evangelist with a burning passion to see God’s healing power and salvation arise in the heart and soul of today’s people with the love of Jesus Christ.

While Stan was here, he shared his testimony. From an inner-city youth in Indianapolis, to a boy growing up in a broken and abusive home, Stan had a lot to share. After his younger years, he found his passion in baseball. He eventually played in the minor leagues until a car accident in January of 1997 changed his life forever. It was not until he lost what he loved the most that he found the God that loved him.

Stan was much more than inspirational. He was empowering. He enabled others to desire the Lord more. After sharing his testimony, we moved into a time of seeking. I firmly believe that anyone who came to the camp that day looking to receive from the Lord, found what they were looking for. Prophecies, healings, and freedoms were freely given from God that evening.

We hope to continue to provide opportunities for people to encounter the peace of God, the power of relationships, and the purpose of one’s life. Whether it be through the rental of our facilities, our own programming, or hosting hundreds of people for revivals – our goal remains the same: get more people to Jesus.

If you were here for our first annual revival, we hope you will return for our next one. If you missed out on our first one, you have to come this fall for the second annual Walnut Ridge Christian Retreat Center’s Revival. If there has been something missing from your life- anything- God wants to fulfill that emptiness. However, in order to receive, we must seek.

“But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given to you as well”
(Matthew 6:33)

Our next retreat date and speaker are to be determined, but we hope to have it in August. In the meantime, feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or would like to be more involved in the revival and/or its planning. We would love to sit down, learn your heart, and hear your ideas. We’ll meet you outside our Indiana Christian Retreat Center!
